Fireboat 11-8 responded to a report of a fall with injuries at a residential boat ramp on Mutineers Circle in Moneta. Members from Smith Mountain Lake Marine Volunteer Fire Rescue assisted MEDIC 7-4 in moving a patient with severe hip pain to the ambulance for transport.

Members from Smith Mountain Lake Marine Volunteer Fire Rescue joined units from around Bedford County in working the structure fire on Airport Road. Air 11 was also put into service at the scene. The residents and their pets were unharmed and evacuated from the home.

Smith Mountain Lake Marine Fire Rescue responded to an E911 call of a boat on fire near marker B11. Fireboats 11-5 and 11-8 responded and insured the fire was completely out. The boat was towed to Pelican Point Marina where is could be hauled out for inspectiona and repairs.
