The Scanner is DOWN for Maintenance. Feel free to listen but as we make modifications the feed might cut out or stop working from time to time. Please read the directions and tips below.
Live Scanner
How to Use This Scanner
- Click Live Feed to turn on the scanner. It will begin scanning all Fire/EMS and Sheriff channels, also known as Talkgroups (TGs).
- If you don't want to listen to every TG, click Select TG. This brings up a list of all the TGs — you can turn off an entire group (like Bedford Sheriff) or turn individual TGs within a group on/off. When you're done, click the left arrow to return to the scanner.
- Hold TG locks the scanner onto a specific TG so it stops scanning and continuously monitors just that one.
- Replay Last replays the most recent voice transmission.
- Skip Next skips the TG that's currently transmitting and resumes scanning the others.
- Avoid blocks a TG so you won't hear transmissions from it until you refresh your browser.
- Pause stops scanning and mutes transmissions until you press Pause again.
- Hold Sys will allow you to hold either Bedford or Franklin County Radio System
- Search Call scans for activity on TGs within the Bedford or Franklin System that aren't listed under Select TG.
A Few Tips
- This is a public safety radio feed — please be respectful of the information shared and do not use it to interfere with or respond to active emergency operations.
- Audio quality can vary depending on radio conditions and weather; occasional static or dropouts are normal for scanner traffic.
- The feed may go offline briefly for maintenance or equipment updates.
- If the player shows no activity, it likely just means no calls are happening at the moment — not that something is broken.
- All Bedford Fire/EMS departments are dispatched on TG "Bedford F/E 1." Franklin County is dispatched on "FCFR Dispatch". Once dispatched, radio traffic is usually moved to Ops channels (Ops2, Ops3, Ops4, etc.) for the actual call.
- You will not be able to hear Franklin County Sheriff as all of their radios are encrypted.
